Chad Calcaterra, the 6'10" center from Magic Elite, is a hot recruit after winning All-America honors at the BCI nationals in Dallas. Chad is ranked among the top 10 centers in his class nationally in several scouting touts. University of Minnesota Coach Tubby Smith watched Chad's Cloquet High team play a game at Mounds View last month.
Kevin Noreen, a 6'8" sophomore forward at Minnesota Transitions in Minneapolis, is the 18th-leading scorer in the nation, according to Max Preps. Kevin is averaging 29.7 points a game, which is the best in the metro area. He is also the metro's leading rebounder according to stats published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune on February 5.
Johnathon Crockett, a 5'11" sophomore guard, has been a key man in the Totino-Grace lineup this season. He helped Totino-Grace win the state 4A football title last fall and is also a standout in track and field.
Jack Ghizoni is getting his minutes for the Burnsville High School varsity. The 6'2" guard has one of the best jumpshots in the Lake Conference and is deadly from the arc.
